Left Euroblogs, where are thou?

I've spent quite some now looking for other blogs commenting on the EU from a left point of view. I'll put them in my blogroll sometime soon, but the results have been pretty disappointing so far. That's particularly troublesome as the Conservatives and the Right euro-critics (mainly British) are already well-positioned in the blogging world. Meanwhile, here's one of the nicer exceptions: European Tribune, a Dailykos-style blog (some of the contributors will be familiar to those reading Dailykos).

Good blog, this.

Left wing blogs about EU are very thin on the ground. Why? It just shows you that the EU project as a whole - dreamt up, not by 'the people' but by the ruling elites - has never captured the collective imagination. It's a project without a purpose. It's turned into a good way for national elites to pass through legislation in Brussels that they couldn't get through there own parliaments.

But it's not the sort of stuff that gets the left's pulse racing and I can understand why.

Can you imagine a protest march through some European capital demanding 'more obscure nonsense from Brussels'?

No, neither can I.
